It is advisable for women to be in constant contact with her physician, especially when she begins experiencing any kind of sex disease symptoms.

There are many types of telltale signs for different types of STDs which is why women should always be on the lookout. This article will tackle two of the more common STDs and their symptoms – Chlamydia and genital herpes.

Chlamydia

Chlamydia is one of the STDs that are considered to be asymptomatic. This means that a majority of those that contract this disease don’t experience any symptoms, especially during the early stages of the infection. However, for those who may actually encounter signs of Chlamydia, symptoms may include a burning sensation while urinating which may be accompanied by an unusual vaginal discharge.

The long term symptoms of this infection include skin lesions, eye inflammation, as well as abdominal pains. PID or pelvic inflammatory disease is another common occurrence in women that have Chlamydia. For men, symptoms are quite similar and may include testicular pains and unusual discharge from one’s penis. Although this condition is curable, some patients have experience the recurrence of the Chlamydia infection.

Genital Herpes

As for genital herpes, one of the more common sex disease symptoms is the development of open sores or blisters in the vagina and the vaginal region. However, some patients have claimed to have experienced painful urination, muscle aches, headaches, fevers, vaginal discharge, as well as the appearance of red bumps in the vagina.

The vaginal glands may also experience burning, itching, or swelling. The same symptoms may manifest in men as they may experience open sores, bumps, and blisters on and around their penis. Although certain types of medication can lessen the severity of said symptoms, there is still no proven medical cure for this particular STD. GP

STDs and their symptoms may occur no matter what type of sex is being had – may it be vaginal, anal, or even oral. People who make use of condoms, although considerably safer, may still victim to all sorts of sexually transmitted diseases. Aside from abstinence, there is no 100% effective solution that can guarantee full immunity.

One of the most feared STDs has got to be HIV or the human immunodeficiency virus. Here is a look at some of the possible symptoms of this dreadful disease.

Early Signs

As the name implies, HIV works by impairing the body’s immune system, thereby interfering with one’s ability to fight off all sorts of bacteria and viruses that lead to other diseases. The worst part of HIV is that it can lead to AIDS which is a disease that up until today remains fatally incurable.

One of the biggest problems with HIV is that during its early stages, one may not experience any symptoms at all. However, some people manifest flu-like symptoms after around two and six weeks of being infected. Some other early signs of HIV include rashes, swollen lymph glands, headaches, and fever. These symptoms will almost always disappear after around a month. During this time, the patient also becomes very infectious.

Latter Stages

As HIV enters its latter stages, it begins destroying more immune cells causing some mild infections, as well as other chronic symptoms which include chough, fever, weight loss, shortness of breath, diarrhea, and again, swollen lymph nodes. These symptoms may then worsen and manifest themselves through persistent headaches, chronic diarrhea, lymph nodes that have been swollen for over 3 months, shaking chills, persistent fatigue, fevers higher than 38 C, and soaking night sweats. If any of these sex diseases symptoms are identified then it is best to have one’s self tested just to be on the safe side. GP
